Mashed 13.4 lbs total grain with 14.75 quarts of water (1.1 quarts per lb of
grain) at 150 F for 90 minutes. The mash was fly-sparged with 7
gallons of 170 F for 20 minutes and 7 gallons were collected. A 90 minute
boil with the adjunct sugars and hops reduced the yield to just over 5
gallons.
This beer was absolutely fantastic. Very close to Belhaven Scottish Ale.
We served it on Nitrogen/CO2 mix through a stout faucet.
